inputting chords with an external midi keyboard

Hello everyone. I was wondering if there was a way to make all the notes of a chord sound together when inputting them step-by-step with a midi keyboard. At the moment all the notes play either from bottom up or from the top to the bottom, making the workflow a bit unease. Thanks
