Implicit Dynamics at start of repeat?

Are the dynamics at the beginning of a repeat implicit if not marked? I have a simple repeat with no explicit dynamic markings that has a crescendo hairpin in the middle and the tempo increases by 20. On the second pass, the repeat starts over with the original dynamics. I would have thought that in the absence of an explicit dynamic the second repeat would have remembered the first pass increase and thus the second pass would have resulted in another increase. Only way this does not occur is if the measure at the beginning of the repeat has an implicit dynamic setting? What am I missing if anything.

For repeats the expectancy is indeed to resume the initial dynamic upon repeating if nothing else is indicated.

If no dynamic is indicated at a prior point then a player can make up whatever they feel like; anything ranging from ppp to fff is fair game. MuseScore happens to pick something somewhere in that range (but you should not rely on that and just note a (hidden) dynamic yourself).
