Adjust Beam Lenngth?
Is it possible to adjust the length of the beam? I want the F (voice 2) to line up with F & A (voice 1).
Thanks
Mark

You could adjust the notes' chord offset in the inspector, though note that the reason they aren't lined up already is that the high F is not on the same beat as the lower chord. Generally, notes that aren't on the same beat should be offset from one another to make the rhythm clearer.

The dot on the first sixteenth looks suspicious. That rhythm is rather uncommon. Undotted sixteenth, eighth, sixteenth is much more well known.

That almost worked but I couldn't get the upper F to move far enough. Another member accomplished it some how. So there must be a way. See my added comment.
Thanks for the reply

See the other comments. The reason things aren't lining up is because your first note in voice 1 is a dotted sixteenth. It should be just a regular sixteenth, adjusting the beats afterwards to follow, then everything will line up as planned.
Why should it line up?
A dotted 16th plus an 8 plus a 16th is not the same duration as a dotted 8th plus a 16th, the latter is a 32nd shorter
It turns out a Musescore member, Œnanthic, has already transcribed the piece I'm working on. If you look at the 3rd measure you see he accomplished what I'm trying to do. Unfortunately I don't have an account where he saves his files so I was not able to download a copy.

The upper augmentation dot belongs to the voice 2 note, the 8th, not the voice 1 16th. And it uses a shared notehead

Thank you. Your explanation was perfect.

That link shows the Top Liner Rag score as public domain. You should be able to download it using your existing mark8too account. For public domain scores you do not need to purchase a pro subscription.
