Add a mute electric rock-ish guitar. The original one is too simple.
A bend down to go with a bend up.

Can you post a link to a recording of the type of thing you mean? MuseScore supports any soundfont you care to add, so once someone hears what you are looking for, they might be able to recommend a soundfont that happens to sample that type of sound.

Ah, so, both distorted and muted. Probably someone has created soundfont for that - I'd try a web search for guitar soundfonts. And read the Handbook section on soundfonts if you're not familiar with how they work.

Is this something that can be expected in MS4 with all the guitar-related improvements (such as muted notes, if I'm correct) ?

Could be, I don't really know. I think most of the additions are being driven by the desire to support better Guitar Pro import. So if it's something supported by GP, it's that much more likely to end up in MuseScore 4.

This is definitely supported by Guitar Pro ! GP renders palm muted notes, x notes really nicely (not speaking about all the effect chain to simulate overdrive, reverb, delay, ... )
Also, bend down is not normally possible on guitar, that's why it isn't included as part of the basic guitar bend functionality, But there are more general bends found on the Arpeggios & Glissandi palettes. those would be the symbols to use when writing for instruments capable of bending down; only guitarists typically understand the special guitar bend symbols anyhow.

Actually, bending down happens sonically, especially in metal and hard rock.
Think 'dive-bombing' with a vibrato tailpiece - happens all the time.

Yes, and there is a separate symbol for that - the tremolo bar symbol

Not currently indeed. But hopefully someday.
