why is slur being extended to other notes when I add a tie?
At the end of measure 8 of the attached file, I want to extend three ties to the first notes of measure 9. But, when I do that, a slur extends from the second D to the next D three measures away.
I tried deleting the slur, but when I delete the slur, it also deletes the tie. How can I get the tie without the slur?
Why is it doing that?

That slurs isn't a slur (S), but a tie (+) and so goes to the next note of the same pitch
And millde note of the last chord im measure 8 is a D, the middle note of the first chord in measure 9 is a D#
