Note Input not working
I've always used Sibelius in the past, and I recently updated my computer after 12 years. I'm starting fresh with all new software, and I thought I'd give Musescore a try. I have my midi controller connected to a MOTU Ultralite mk3 and then to the laptop. This setup works just fine in Sonar, but when I try to enter notes on a new score in Musescore, nothing happens.
I have Enable Midi Input checked and have also selected the MOTU in the I/O Midi Input dropdown.
Any suggestions?

Maybe check the settings in edit->preferences->I/O.
Also be sure, that you've enabled the note input mode before adding notes: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/note-input#midi-keyboard.

Thanks, that helped. I needed to switch into Note Input mode first. However, now that I got that to work, suddenly all of the dropdowns on the I/O screen are now blank! I tried reverting to factory settings, but that didn't help. Any thoughts?

Be sure to connect and turn on all devices you intend to use before starting MuseScore. If you've done that and still have problems - do those problems include, no audio at all? If so, also see https://musescore.org/en/node/96811.

Not sure. I think revert to factory settings won't help here. Be sure that you've connected your midi keyboard before starting MuseScore. Or check "restart audio and midi devices" in the I/O preferences.

It's still not working. Luckily, I was able to reactivate Sibelius 7, so I'm going to stick with what works.

Generally it should work, but for some users seems to be sometimes tricky. Not sure about your OS for me with Linux I remember, that also it didn't work always at first (IIRC I had for example to change the sound engine (pulseaudio vs. alsa), but it's long time ago).
