Selected Palettes not saving in MuseScore 4.0

So I am loving the MuseScore 4 update. It has brought so many improvements that it's hard to believe this program is free to use anymore. The VST support and new updated mixer is so amazing. Also all of the engraving improvements make it nearly indistinguishable from a professional paid software such as Dorico or Finale.
I have run into a couple bugs and features that haven't carried over from the previous versions though. I understand that since the developers essentially built the program from the ground up, there are things that will take more time to get implemented. But a few things are limiting my workflow just a little bit. For example,
The new "palettes" and "properties" tabs on the left of the new interface are not able to be resized. In MuseScore 3, we were able to click the edge of that window and drag it to resize it. I haven't been able to do this on the 4.0 update. This feature is less important to people who are using a desktop PC with a 24" monitor or something bigger. But for folks that work on the go on their laptop, this feature is very important. That window on my 13" laptop takes up way too much of my screen and leaves a relatively small window for me to view the sheet music. I can still work with this, but it's just a little bit annoying to work around.
The second thing I have noticed is that I cannot find a setting to switch from "basic" to "advanced" view for the palettes. So I have to manually add in all of the palettes that I need which in itself is not much of an issue. However, I have noticed that every time I close out of MuseScore 4, and then open it back up, the toggled palettes are reset back to the basic ones. So I have to manually select which palettes I can see every time I open MuseScore 4.

I might be missing something here because I know that they changed where certain things are located in the interface for this update but let me know if you have any way to work around these things!
