Intermittent sound on playback on Version 4

I am having a problem with playback on Musescore 4 scores. The sounds sort of stutters as it is playing back the score. It is happening on every score I have tried so far. Everything else seems to work fine, it is just the playback that I am with which I am having an issue. Has anyone else seen this problem What have you done to correct it.
