MuseScore 3.6.2 AppImage?

• Jan 13, 2023 - 16:23

Are MS3 AppImages still available anywhere besides GitHub? Because I haven't found them on this site anywhere. There doesn't seem to be any way to access older AppImages (since 3.2), but you can still get old installers for Windows and Mac.

I maintain that Linux users are becoming second class users for Musescore going forward. The other platforms have better development and functionality upon the M4 release while major M3 capabilities that were unique to Linux (particularly related to midi and sync) have been lost to regression (probably permanently). This lack of menu linking to the last stable M3 (but only for Linux users) is just another small piece of evidence to the effect. I'd love for the development team to prove me wrong and get some of the hot, under-the-hood features back... or see prioritized implementation of VST (LV2) to put the Linux port on par with the rest IMMEDIATELY... but I'm not holding my breath. The Linux treatment is underwhelming right now.

Like I originally said, I did find the AppImage on GitHub. It's just that I'm kind of annoyed that it's so hard to find on MuseScore.org. But I guess I never decided to look in the "development builds" section because I just assumed it wouldn't be there. Apparently, I was wrong (your link works). I still think it should be easier to find though.
