Copyright footer shortcut ($C) doesn't work in Musescore 4?
Hello,
Basically I'm trying to add some text to my score including a copyright at the bottom and the format shortcut $C doesn't work to make it stay on just the first page.
A second question would be if there is a way to use that shortcut more than once (I have some other text, non-copyright related, that I want to just appear on the first page).

You need to place your copyright text in this field:
- in MS3: File > Score Properties > copyright
- in MS4: File > Project Properties > copyright
... and by the way, the shortcut is case-sensitive. $C means "on first page only", and $c means "on every page".

No, you can only use $C once. But you can have two lines of text, and they must still be entered in the copyright field as described above. To prepare the two separate lines of text you need to use a text editor (on Windows: Notepad or Notepad++), then copy the text with line break into the copyright field. For example:

I see. So to have my copyright truly only show on the first page (using the case-sensitive shortcut $C as you indicated), I just put "$C" in the center footer box under Format > Style > Header,Footer, and the actual text of what I wanted under File > Project properties > Copyright.
For the other non-copyright related text, it's actually a quite hefty paragraph of explanatory text for performance of the full piece. I'd like it to go at the top above the title of the score (I think -- I'm new to scoring conventions so if you have another suggestion let me know), but only on the first page. I'm currently using the Format > Style > Header,Footer pathway, offset above the title, appearing on only odd pages, including page 1 (so at least it's not all over the place) -- but it's still clunky.
Thank you very much for the help with the copyright at least -- that worked perfectly.
