Tuplets
Hello everyone,
I cant seem to fix an issue that I'm having...Every time I click an eighth note and I want to make an eighth note Tuplet, it always makes a 16th note Tuplet. So I continue to delete it, click on the eight note and then click the Tuplet icon and it prepares yet again... a 16th note Tuplet.
I can't seem to fix this so any info would be great.

Start with a note that has the value of a complete triplet, e.g. with a quartor note for eight note triplets
You need to start by selecting a note or rest with the same duration as the whole triplet you want to create. So to create at triplet of three eighth notes, the duration of those three notes is one quarter note. Therefore start by selecting a quarter note or rest, then press CTRL+3.

the comments are correct. You select a not then with with ctrl-3 you trisect it so to speak. If you sect a rest, three rest of 1/3 length replace it.
