Convert Musescore 4 files to Musecore 3
I am a long time user of Musescore and I love it. I have made hundreds of scores and I use it daily.
I also love new features BUT Musescore 4 is slow and laggy on my laptop and I need to go back to Musescore 3 but now all the files I opened in Musescore 4 and saved are not compatible with Musescore 3! How can I get around this???

How will Musescore 3.7 help me convert the format from 4.2 to 3.
I have a 4.2, my bandmate has a 3. I can't send him sheet music that I wrote. What with this?
By the way, Musescore 4.2 has no option to export to a format other than PDF.

Open the 4x score in 3.7 and save it.
MS4 export:

3.7 will help because it can read 4.x scores.
And Mu4 has the PDF export at the very same place as Mu3 and Mu2, under File > Export

Hi Jojo-Schmitz and others who have mentioned MuseScore 3.7: where can I find this version? I'm also having the problem that I work in MS3 but repeatedly need to open MS4 files, so this could come really handy.
Thanks a lot!
