Unremoval rests after imploding multiple tracks
I was relieved when I found that I had multiple tracks and could implode them because they were all for the same instrument. However, when I try to remove the rests that were on some of the tracks, I found it was not possible without deleting the notes themselves. Is there a way to clear these rests that overlap the notes on the same track without affecting the notes? See attachment

It's hard to say much from a picture - we'd need the actual score to understand and assist better. In general, simply doing implode on that staff should collapse the multiple voices into one where possible and handle rests automatically, but also, rests in voices other than 1 can be deleted individually. Rests in voice 1 cannot be deleted because that voice needs to always show the full number of beats.

In this file you see rests that can't be deleted

As said by Marc: " Rests in voice 1 cannot be deleted because that voice needs to always show the full number of beats."
In your score, one rest (this one in voice 2 - green color - CAN be deleted)
But I would overall that is a mistake/ a bad idea to enter first the voices 2 and 3, unless the polyphonic character would be obvious, which doesn't seem to be the case here.
Use voices 1 and 2, and all will be fine.

I'm not sure I understand. How do I determine voice 1 from voice 2, and how did you delete the rests in the file you provided?
