Can I write music with Musescore without Time Signature

There are so many songs which are without Time Signature especially when it comes to Bulgarian folklore music.
I want to be aware how to write this kind of music using MuseScore because I haven’t found out how to do this so far.

Yes it is possible.

I work in liturgical music and am doing it all the time.

I usually start with a time signature of 30/8 (which is hidden).

I then use the split/join measure functions in MuseScore 2 beta to make the number of notes in a bar correct.

Thanks for your answer. Following your navigations I managed to achieve the desired result. Now I faced another issue. I want to break the line when I write music without Time Signature. I just want to continue writing on the next line but Im not able to use Line Break symbol. Apparently there is different approach. Can you help me with this issue?
You can find the example in attached file. Actually I want to continue writing after the symbol “II” but on the next line.

I would make the double barline before the rests a real barline then use the line break to start in a new measure on the next line.

I hope the attached Eucharistic Prayer Preface will help you work out how it's done :)

Note the use of horizontal frames to change line length :)

BTW this was produced in a recent nightly build so you may have to download the latest nightly to load this.

Hi ChurchOrganist,
Thanks you very match for your advices and example. I managed to cope with this issue thanks to your help. Actually I’m amateur who plays Bulgarian bagpipe and it is very useful for me to be able to write music with applications such a Musescore for my daily practice. The final result from my attempt is useful to me for the time being. Thanks a lot once again.
