How to rit.

Is there a way to get a ritard (you know--"rit.) to be in the playback. I would like to use that for the end of a song, but I wasn't sure if there is anything.

I wondered about a Plugin for this but I think that the tempo is set by the last Tempo text and there isn't a way of deriving the current tempo from the current measure so it would require hunting back through the score, storing the last Tempo text entry and then adding in (and making invisible) new Tempo texts.

If using fermatas, place one on the first note, make it invisible and then copy it to the next few notes. Make changes to each fermata such as 1.03, 1.06, 1.09, 1.12 if you want a gradual rit. (ritardando - the more common interpretation of rit.) or make the first one 1.1 or 1.2 or whatever and just copy it to the other notes if you want a more abrupt slowing down (ritenuto).
