Chordnames not transposed on copy-paste

Project:MuseScore

Description

Steps to reproduce bug
1. Create score with concert and transposing instruments.
2. Create > Text > Chord Name in any instrument and copy the measure to an instrument with a different transposition

Expected behavior: Chord name should transpose just like the notes (to preserve the same concert pitch)

Actual behavior: Chord names do not transpose

MuseScore version: r. 3230 nightly build. Bug also present in 0.9.6 stable.

(Operating System: Windows 7)

Is that really a bug ? Chordnames does not transpose neither when you switch from/to concert pitch.

#2

what would be the reason why they should not ?? just a lot of extra work.

.. and from/to concert pitch should also change ...

I don't know... Just guessing... maybe because the chord names are expected to be always in concert pitch?

#4

no, they are absolutely expected to change for Bb and Eb instruments

My experience matches that of ph's: chord names are always in the pitch of the instrument that are associated with. For example chord names for a jazz solo on B-flat trumpet part are transposed for B-flat.

My experience also.

Ok then in r3237, chordnames are transposed on copy paste and switched with concert pitch.

Thank you,

I have now been using Musescore for about 5 months.
Amazing how much it has improved during that time, and I am glad that many (yet not all :-) ) of my own reports and suggestions have been followed up.

This way of constantly quick response is far superior to any "closed source" program.

So to all of You from all of me : Thank you

regards
