Clear List
In the Open Recent feature if there's been a spate of superfluous content opened in the program, perhaps this would be a good idea.

Basically, a 'Clear List' button at the bottom of the recently opened scores, in which you can clear the list away.

I can see people selecting it by accident and losing their recent score list. I don't know of other applications that have a "Clear List" in the Recent files menu. The closest equivalent that comes to mind is the "Clear List" in the downloads window of Firefox. You can watch the reaction of the UI designers working on the initial designs for Firefox Mobile after they accidentally click on the "Clear List": http://www.azarask.in/blog/post/opening-thedesign-process/ (jump to 21:45 in the video)
The Open Recent list is in a sub menu so it doesn't clutter the File menu if you have lots of files listed. The most recent scores always appear at the top.
I'm not sure the potential benefit (looks tidy?) outweighs the costs.

Yes, I had thought about the possibility of clearing it by accident.
