Please help - moved location of file and no longer opens

• Jul 2, 2010 - 02:50

Musescore 0.9.6 stable, Linux Mint (Ubuntu Lucid Lynx).

I changed the location of a file and now if I try opening the file by double clicking on it in the operating system I get an error 'reading file ...... failed: no such file or directory'. Attempting to open it through Musescore just results in a grey screen.

If anyone can help, I would be extremely thankful. Have attached the file and its associated backup file which I have renamed to .mscz so I can attach it.

How do you go about opening the backup files that musescore automatically creates? Is that possible?

Thanks.

I'm not 100% sure this was caused by moving the file but gut feeling it was. I can't remember exactly what happened. It either happened directly after I moved it or I might have actually opened it and edited it after moving it and vaguely also remember Musescore crashing around the same time, restoring session successfully, then never able to open the file again. Sorry I am so vague how this happened, was just unexpected.

Update....this actually appears to be due to a corrupted disc. If anyone can see any way of repairing the file (and all the others I've lost, I would greatly appreciate it, but I do not believe it is a problem with Musescore that caused it).
