saving as xml to export to Sibelius
I am using MuseScore 9.6 Beta Prelease in Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (April 2010). I want to save a score as an XML so that a collaborator can work on it in his Sibleius program.
MuseScroe is a tremendous program, but -
Problem A: In Ubuntu there appears to be no choice at all of file type. So, going on:
Problem B: I tried in the dreadful Windows Vista and it saved as (name).mscz.xml and he still can't open it.
I shall persevere and try whatever other options I can discover, but would appreciate some help if anyone knows the answer.

Not sure for Ubuntu but it should work. On windows, fo to File -> Save as, select MusicXML in file type, the filename should change to XXXX.xml and press Save.

Then I'm obviously doing something wrong. It did work for me once when I was using Musescore 9.5, but this time it was 9.6 beta. However, I have a go from time to time and hope that one day it will all become clear.
