I see what you mean. You want to be able to set an initial tempo and optionally have a tempo text indicated and (again optionally) have a note=speed indicator. I like the idea but instead of a scroll box for the note I would have radio buttons.

I would have the default set as blank for the tempo text
I would have a radio button for crotchet ticked as default and = 120 as the speed with the user able to tick a different box and/or change the speed. I would have a check-box (default unchecked) to show or hide the note=speed marking.

I would have the actual BPM tempo as a calculated (display-only) field based on the above selection.

I'm not opposed to the idea, but I don't really see it being much of a time saver. By my count, it's at most two clicks less than simply editing the tempo text after your completely the wizard, and in many cases only one or even no clicks less.

Not really; changing those after score creation requires you to find the correct palette, open it, do a drag operation (or, a new option for 2.0.2, select a measure then double click). It's actually quite a big optimization to be able to select the key and time signature in the wizard. It is a somewhat smaller one to be able to select a tempo in the wizard, but I am not talking about the difference betwener having the selection versus not. I am talking about entering alternate non-default text by clicking in the wizard box and then typing the text versus double-clicking the text in the score and typing the text. It's literally the difference between a single click versus a double click in this case, and the moment you start adding additional options, that's just more things to click that could also be done just as easily after the score is created.

Unless I'm missing something, which is possible.
