Include List of Hotkeys on MuseScore Local Handbook

Tagged:

I couldn't find a list of MuseScore's hotkeys (though I'll admit I didn't search very long). Is there a list somewhere to put on the handbook that comes in the download?

Users can customize the shortcuts . You can see a list in Edit->Preferences->Shortcuts

Yes, but if we'd rather see what the default is first, where do we find that?

At the same place. There is no default list in the handbook. Feel free to build one and share it.

Were I to compile a list, would it be a categorised list of the more commonly used shortcuts followed by a list of all the shortcuts?

The number of shortcuts being quite big, I guess a list by category makes sense.
There is also a feature request for printing shortcuts from the preferences dialog : http://musescore.org/en/node/3871

I was reluctant to include a list in the handbook because some of the shortcuts may change in future versions.

I went ahead and added a page. See Keyboard shortcuts

Hi
I'm not sure that's the right forum, but when I translated the new book page "Keyboard shortcuts" I realized that I don't understand the use of these shortcuts, or, better, they don't work (Ubuntu Lucid, MuseScore 0.9.6.2 rev. 3400):

Top note in chord: Ctrl+Alt+Up
Bottom note in chord: Ctrl+Alt+Down

Can someone help me?
Thanks
Antonio

It selects the top/bottom note in the current chord. It looks like it doesn't work in Ubuntu because the keyboard shortcut is already used by the operating system for switching desks.

Thanks, hadn't thought about the fact that it could change frequently.
