repeat words

Recently I encountered a problem when using repeat words. In the attachment I have
made a very basic melody to show my problem. Browsing through the various
‘repeat’ topics in the forum for a hint, I cannot solve this.
Using ‘start / end’ repeats in measure 3, 4 and 6, I am also using repeat words: the ‘Coda’ sign at the start of measure 3, the ‘D.C. al Coda’ at the start of measure 6 and staff text ‘Coda’ above the end measure. When I play this piece with playback everything goes well until ‘D.C. al Coda’ becomes ‘active’. The playback jumps to the start of the score but after arriving at the ‘Coda’ sign and jumping to ‘Coda’, it plays all the other measures instead. Can somebody help me please?
Joe.

Repeat texts are not only text. You need to use the text from the repeats palette to have the right element in your score. Then you can change their appearance in the score.
Fo your particular case, you need to use "To Coda" on measure 3, DC al coda should be OK, and the coda sign on the end measure. Then you can edit to Coda to look like a coda sign by double clicking on it and use the F2 palette

lasconic,
O.K. when I do that I expect that, when arriving at the end of measure 2 (after playing the normal score sequence of course), the 'To Coda' sign will cause an immediate jump to the end measure. But instead, it first plays measure 3 and then jumps to the end measure.

I messed about with this a bit and what I found happened was similar to my problem. I added a horizontal frame before Coda, took out the D C al Coda writing and added the D C al Coda from the repeats palette, but the 'To Coda' sign only works when I place it above the repeat sign at the end of bar 3. I tried again without the horizontal frame and altering the D C al Coda writing (ie. just moved the 'To Coda' sign one bar to the right and it worked. I thought it had to be exactly as in the tutorial video, but obviously not!
