1. Create 4/4 piano score.
2. Insert 2 quavers in a multi-voice (voice 2 - for this example).
3. Copy these notes and paste them into any bar that has the same multi-voice (voice 2).
Result = Crash.
Using MuseScore 1.0.0 pre-release 2 (3949) and Mac 10.4.11.

I don't get a crash, but the timing is corrupted.
(Tested using 1.0 stable and r. 3998 nightly build, Windows 7)
Seems like you are experiencing this bug. Could be the reason why it's crashing.
You don't have to post in another bar - you can select the second note originally entered and paste onto that.
Can you still reproduce this bug with MuseScore 1.0 ? If yes, can you rephrase the steps to reproduce ?
Yes.
1. Create 4/4 score.
2. Insert two consecutive quavers in Voice 2.
3. Copy these notes.
4. Select the minim rest.
5. Paste.
Result = Crash.

I wanted to ask (saw a couple of bugs I think are the same) - if it's fixed in the branch only, why is it in the trunk log (instead of only the branch log )?

The crash is fixed, but there's no mention that the notes won't paste.
Using MuseScore 1.1 (Pre-release) - Mac 10.6.8.
Not currently reproducible, or more detailed steps needed.
