It would be great if we could have an play back property of a count in. Also being able to set a number of measures/time before the count in starts, and the music starts playing - To pick up instruments etc.
He's talking about having a 4-beat lead in on a 4/4 piece, so "tick tick tick tick" or like you hear in some songs "one two three four' to let the people get the timing.
I was waiting for someone to mention the metronome. I refrained from mentioning it because it applies to the whole song if its used. A count-in would only be used for the one bar.
True. I mentioned it because a) it might provide a workaround and b) to show that in the trunk the infrastructure for a 'count in' is in place already.
:-(, I use exported wav file to play with it. For now i insert a measure with N 1/32 notes to simulate that. It will be great if that is availlable on export audio file .

You should explain it better. Thanks.

The trunk, AKA 2.0, has a metronome built in. Adding an empty (and maybe hidden?) measure before the first measure might help here?

Now we need someone to record "And-a-one, and-a-two, and a three, and a".
Miwarre submitted a patch (https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/pull/504) to add a count-in for the latest nightly version.
Great idea. Is it exported to wav or mp3 file ?
Don't know, I don't use export to audio. Have you downloaded a nightly to see the state of development today? It's quite impressive!
EDIT: No, it doesn't export. It is only part of the play panel and like the metronome doesn't affect the recorded output.

Wouldn't this be a different Feature request and we should Close this one here?
Thank you Miwarre!
