Crash When Dragging Slur

I am trying the latest 0.9.6 Beta 1. Whenever I try to drag a slur from the Lines palette, MuseScore crashes every time. If I click the note head and press "S", it works, but then I have to hit escape to exit Slur entry mode or click the next note head twice to select it and enter another slur, which is an unnecessary key/click in my opinion. I was used to the old way of dragging from the Lines palette, shift right to lengthen in necessary, then immediately clicking/dragging the next one.
