Howto create a scope with SATB chorus but single voice stanza?
Hey folks
How to create a scope with SATB chorus but single voice stanza?
Or have a prelude with some instruments followed by a SATB choir, maybe with some single intrument interlude?
So far I was only able to do it in separate files, but want it on a single file (and single page if short enough).
Is this possible with MuseScore at all? If so, how? if not, can we make this a feature request?

This may or may not help you get where you want to go. I think there is an option to hide empty staffs. do a search.

Create your score with the maximum number of instruments you want.
Write your music.
Go to Style -> Edit Style -> Score -> hide empty part.

It doesn't work with LilyPond output, there all the 'hidden' staves are visible again (MuseScore 0.96 beta 1)

I guess you will add to tweak lilypond output or use MuseScore PDF output.

But that would IMHO mean that MuseScore has a bug or at least a serious miss-feature: If I set empty staves to be hidden, they should be hidden in LilyPond output too, so I'd expect MuseScore to employ the method you mention rather than requiring me to manually intervene.
I like the LilyPond output as it is fitting more stuff on one pages while maintaining readability. MuseScore's output is using much more space.

I file a feature request in the issue tracker : #4796: Export hidden staff to Lilypond
If you are not happy with the spacing of MuseScore, you may try to change the scaling of your score in Layout-> page settings and adjust the space between system in Style->Edit style->Score. A style can be saved and apply later to your score.

I'll have a play with those settings. On the other hand LilyPond does what I need by default ... 8-) except in this case.
