Add sixth above/below doesn't works properly

• Apr 9, 2010 - 16:16

Steps:

1. Create a score and add an instrument.
2. Insert a note, C for example.
3. Type Shift+6. Nothing happens. Type it again and two notes will be inserted depending on the MuseScore version: E twice or E and G.

The same happens with Alt+6.

Tested with

r2811 (0.96 beta 2)
r2919 (nightly)
r2931 (nightly)

Operating Systems: Windows 7 Professional 32-bt and Windows XP SP3.

Comments

I tested this problem and the same thing happened to me. I and Vitor are from Brazil. Maybe the problem can be in the keyboard configuration, what I believe this is unlikely.

Tested with r2952 and previous versions in Windows 7 Professional 32-bit and Windows XP SP3 32-bit.

Wikipedia shows shows the character above 6 on the Brazilian keyboard layout differently from the characters above the rest of the numbers.

I assume this is a character that is used in combination with vowels and works differently than most keys. It looks like it is keyboard related. Once 0.9.6 lets see if we can address some of this keyboard layout issues. I think 0.9.6 is the first that works for English (US) without conflict but there are still issues with other languages.
