Education Worksheet
I have been using Sibelius up until I discovered MuseScore. The only function I still can't find in Musescore, is the ability to create an educational worksheet that combines music staffs and text information on the same page. Is it possible, and can anyone help me?

In my french version:
Créer>Mesures>Insérer un cadre horizontal.............../vertical
..............................>Ajouter
Select the frame, and you'll find in the contextual menu how to add a text.
By the way I think that, at the time, one cannot add images.

Create -> Measures->Insert Horizontal Frame
Then right click on the frame --> add vertical frame
Then right clik again and add text
Frame are not printed and you can hide them from display with Display -> Hide frames
You should be able to add pictures by drag and dropping a picture from windows explorer to MuseScore "virtual sheet".
Take a look to the "Schnee.mscz" demo file in MuseScore directory.
Sometimes it's easier to create the music in Musescore and then take a screenshot using a free app like Jing. Create the text part in a word processor and add the music in as a graphic (your screenshot). It depends what the balance of music/text is. If there's more text, use Word and add the music in as a graphic. If there's more music, use Musescore alone.
Hi,
I found that if i use the screen capture software 'Jing' I can take a screen shot of the bit of music I need and cut and paste it to word.

But if you capture the image from the screen, you will only get screen resolution. Much better to "print" to PDF, then make the image from the PDF. For example, using GIMP you can select whatever resolution you need for printing quality (typically 300 dpi).
(If you have the GIMP, you don't need any special software for screen capture.)

Save the score as .png and then, when you paste it in a word (or libreoffice writer) document as an image, you still see the text "behind" the score. An exemple attached
