Is it possible to add new custom symbols to the app?
Hi,
Is there a way to add entirely new custom symbols to the app that I then can use in my score text? I need those symbols for fingering.
Maybe I can somehow create a cutom font and then import it into the app...
Any suggestions ?

There are already a lot of symbols built in. When editing a text, press Z, check the different tabs and you will see. If you really need other symbols, you can use any font installed on your system but then the MSCZ file will not be shareable, meaning if someone doesn't have the font, she will not see the correct symbol.

Thank you for reply. I will try to create custom font and try to use it in musescore. I do not need share for now.

Have you tried the fingering palette available in the Advanced workspace?

Thank you for reply, but the problem is I want very special symbols. May be I formulated it incorrect. It is more like a position of fingers not the name or index of a finger. I guess I should have called it tablature. Something similar to those symbols in Special Characters > Musical Symbols tab > Accordion

The problem solved. I have found a combination of existing symbols that I can use instead of one symbol.
