Notation For Quieter Notes - Piano Sheet Music
Hello, I'm arranging a very technically difficult piano piece and I need to know if there is a notation to indicate to play a specific note quieter than the surrounding ones?
If not, how should I say "play this quieter"?
Thank you.

This generally requires that the note be separated from the other notes (not in a chord). You can use the dynamics pallet for this. It will require an understanding of dynamic markings.

Select the note, then Ctrl + T type "play this quieter"
sotto voce?
Hey, I know this is 11yo but the paranthesis around a note are a common notation for Ghost Notes, so I use it when I want to say "this note almost disappears next to others" :)
