"WAITING" Easter REsurrection Morning or Divertimento #3
After the fanfare it's pretty much the same as it ever was. This Divertimento willcome in 3 parts. The Last movement which I'v e posted here is a slow and never ending it seems piece for strings and percussion.Bartok is always in my ears .His soniritys are spine chilling .Ligeti diverse harmonies and juxtapositions of colors always an inspiration. I'm not being ironic by having a dirge as the finale for an Easter Festival. We are all of us surely waiting with our private appeals and adoration. The first 2 movements will be strictly adoration and festivity like a Bach Magnificat if I dare. Again FROM these bell sounds spark all sorts of implications :spiritual and otherwise.
