VIOLIN CONCERTO#1 there will be many more.This is a transition from slow 2nd movement to fast&3rd movement.No themes for either

this is my violin concerto started in may . only have transtition movement.Themes for allmovementswill be related.Like looking ata picture from different sides ,walking around it sometimes far sometimes close ,tooclose. Sir Harrison Birthwhistle,Elliot Carter,Brian Ferneyhough ,Mike Finnissy 'smusic and Jackson pollock's painting techniques have inspired this.I am writing a series of American sketches .Thelonious Monk , Pollock and Miles Davis will be focus of first 3 tone poems. This music has a good way of stating itself but it is not obvious.The wind writing is complete.I wanted tubular bells after I heard the chimes,organ and violin trio in begining of Oliver Knussen's violin concerto.That was an ingenious combination but it looks back to Handel's violin and organkeyboard sonatas .I really want to write a concerto groos like Bach's Brandenburgs.I have so many plans .We'll see!
I like how this middle movement is shaping up.Somewhere n there is a first subject & second subject?Ala Liszt and Beethoven thee will be one theme progressing in its own way through all 3 movements.Since I was a child I have loved the Shostakovich violin concerto so my second one will have more breadth and pain. Sibelius,Glazunov and 2 Prokofiev violin and Oliver Knussen 's violin concerti are favorites .Those eagles I will fly after.
