This is my piano suite NIGHT TOUCHS in two movements only have a little done so far soI posted it .It is beautiful. My most inspired piece yet.I have a g major prelude along with a feew from a proposed colection of 12 that will astound my professors one day-or so i hope.I need some serious training so piston's orchestration and harmony treatises are with me every day. Oh Ravel's Ondine from Gaspard de la niut sounds nothing liek this but it is the piece I love playingand his piano music is my favorite so I know deep inside me this was an attempt to answer his exotic harmonies and allover keyboard wrtiing .The pp and ppp are definitely Ravellian idea.It is the hardest thing to play quickly, clean adn fluently in very soft dynamics..At the upper range of the keyboard I think it is a necessity.
Oh I have a slow movement that is taking friution quickly.I really want sounds evocative of lonely nighttime looking out windows in Manhattan from the fourth or fifth floor while traffic and the rest of the world is busy.
