RTF textfile import for lyrics and other text

I have been somewhat disappointed by the import of XML lyrics which completely ignore any style information such as bold text.

Most of my work is in Liturgical Music, where we tend to use text styles to emphasise change from reciting notes in such material as Psalms etc.

It would be really cool if we could point MuseScore to a previously prepared RTF file and get it to automagically parse lyrics, including style information such as bold or underline. (Obviously to a defined text format)

Finale 2003 has this by means of copy and paste into the lyrics editor, although you still have to set text style manually.

It would also be useful for importing performance notes etc.
