MUSIC FOR MANY FLUTES more than 8!!! (PLEASE LISTEN)

• Oct 9, 2011 - 00:51

I read somewhere that Radulescu composed music for 40 flutes so i wanted to try it.Problem is if u are gonna have more than four players on a stage you better write more than 2 or 3 minutes worth of music .Other problems is I dont know contemporary flute techniques like whispering and knocking on metl and many other new techniques nor do I specialize in "sound scapes" so what I do is not as interesting as Radulescu or Elliot Carters Fantasy for 8 flutes but I had to start somewhere. I hope Musescore will find a way to incorporate some new techniques in its sound so I can write more than directions .We all want to hear our work. Anyway , what we have is a prewtty old fashioned sounding piece of music that will repeat its first section and second then reprise first section with a few variants so a basic aabbaa ternary form form will take place.
If u wanna hear some freaky no-tunes check out anything by Xenakis and Pierre Boulez or Stockhausen or Birtwhistle or any of their hordes of students. They are my masters and goals!
