Adagio in B Minor, K. 540

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart almost never used the key of B minor. In fact, he only published one other movement in this key, the Adagio movement of his Quartet for flute, violin, viola, and cello (K. 285). Mozart had a personal catalog of his works, and next to this Adagio he wrote "H moll," meaning "B minor." This is the only time that Mozart listed the key that his work was in in his catalog.

The Adagio repeats a somewhat sad theme, transitioning to other keys, and ends in B major very quietly.

I made this transcription myself. It has some invisible dynamics that affect playback, but the score that would be printed should be equal to the original.
