note layer / notepad

Another thought ...

some layer, layed over the actual score, activated by p.e. hitting tabulator, only for the purpose of doodles or to scratch hints and notes.

so that you can write down thoughs instantly ( pressing a particular key ( as p.e. tab ) , and all writing is put down then and there )

you can note things you want to do later,
things you can´ not yet think through,
mark great thoughts, ideas of figures, motives,
indicate uncomplete parts, wholes, things missing,

maybe it can be realized with some multi colored pencils, or even combined with a drawing tablet ...

I think the color, different font sizes / types, smileys, doodles, arrows, or which singning element ever could really help in an sober black and white environment which, after a day of working really makes you tired.

continuing my thougt, what if those colored funny signs overlayed to the score are automatically linked to its origin?

I got a full orchestral score, many lines, too many bars, practising marks, parts, etc.

its very unclear and confusing and you really have to be concentrated all the time only maneuvering in your score.

( its more comfortable maneuvering in a 3D enviroment )

So if you had a layer, as descripted above, where you can (sub)organize your score with your personal assoziations. like: " beginning... ( nearly done ;) " ... "damn strings" ... " sucks " .... " need more coffee" " =) " .... "whatever"

so you dont need "pos1" "end" or which key ever. you simply highlight your doodle / notepad layer ( perhaps even with elements out of the score implemented, like practising marks ) and you klick on the "named problems and things to be done" and you will jump to it ...

A score automatically gets closer to the nature of an authograph and wont be so sterile.
Just a personified, colored, scaffolding for your score

just a thought
