Reposition fingering text plugin (Musescore 2.x)

• Feb 25, 2019 - 23:23

I modified the fixfingering plugin to handle simultaneously text attached to staff and attached to note(s), if it is fingering (i.e. a number between 0 and 5). Also, a new feature I added, that text is either positioned above a note, if it is positioned in the upper halve or below a note if it is positioned in the lower halve. This allow us to have multiple variants of fingering on a single staff.

Some background to this plugin, I am the author of the Sibelius reposition text plugin, which I wrote many years ago. Recently, after converting music from someone else, using another notation program (capella?) all the fingering was imported as staff text. Unfortunately the fixfingering was unable to handle that. Also there was no easy way to convert staff fingering to note fingering text.

As such I decided to implement this in the fixfingering plugin. Because text is now processed differently, I decided to rename this plugin to "Reposition fingering text".

For my purpose it is working fine. However, it does not -yet- handle stacked fingers and also not fingering which is attached to appoggiatura/acciaccatura, clef changes etc. I hope to add all this in the future and make it feature complete.
