Musescore MDL extension

I have an issue that when trying to download the MDL extension it gives me an error that reads "Unable to extract files from extension". I have tried restoring to factory setting and reinstalling the program with no help. Does anyone know of a solution to this problem? I am in Musescore 3
When I try to uninstall and then try to reinstall it claims it has trouble rewriting the existing MDL files.
