Customize playback settings by part

After upgrading my operating system (Ubuntu Linux), I ended up with MuseScore 3.2, having previously been quite satisfied with MuseScore 2. I've found, to my dismay, that an essential part of my workflow is either missing or changed in a way that I can't figure out.

I primarily use MuseScore to produce rehearsal materials for my choir. After inputting the notes, I create parts for each section (soprano, alto, tenor, bass, piano). Each part actually contains all the parts, because these parts are for MP3 output. I print the full score only. In each part, I adjust the playback settings such that the named part is prominent and the other parts are heard softly in the background. Here's an example.

In MuseScore 3, I find that the playback settings are global, rather than per-part. This is unworkable, as I would have to re-configure the playback settings every time I wanted to play back a different part, and I couldn't do a mass export. The only workaround I can think of is to save separate files for each part. The problem is, I would then have to manually apply any edits to all of my part files; thus this workaround isn't a very good one.

Is there any way I can get this functionality back? This is more than 80% of what I use MuseScore for, so this change really hurts.
