not properly installed

I don't think I installed it correctly .
I get a question mark in the sidebar when I open the iMac but when I click on it the Muscore icon appears and a window appears if I want to open an application downloaded from the internet.
I took screen shots but was not able to upload them.
Other then that it works great. I just have to go through this every time.
