Color-code tones depending on whether they are chord/non-chord/etc.

I tried posting this under a different username and something went wrong, so I'll try again: I'm wondering if it would be feasible to color noteheads depending on whether the tone is a chord or nonchord tone, out-of-key tone, and so on. Impro-Visor has such a feature (shown here: https://www.cs.hmc.edu/~keller/jazz/improvisor/ImproVisorTutorial4.htm#…); some of the categories depend on Impro-Visor's harmonic grammar engine, but I'm guessing it wouldn't be hard for MuseScore to identify at least those tones that belong to a concurrent chord?

I thought about maybe making a plugin to do this, but I don't see whether the harmony objects (or whatever they're called) are exposed to the plugin API.
