intense static during playback

As you may have seen in other posts about this topic, I keep trying to listen to my work, and I keep getting major static, I've found the causes of what happens, but its always with major parts I can't listen to the score without. I've tried resetting to factory settings, and it doesn't work, I've tried resetting the audio and it doesn't work, so I have no idea what to do, sometimes I'm not even using musescore directly and there is static.
I am using a Macbook air on a 10.14.6 startup disk and using Musescore 3(unsure on the specific update)
