Musescore's Files in Linux /home Directory

• Dec 18, 2020 - 20:07

So, I don't understand why Linux generally create separate those .cache, .local and .share files. They must be unique for some jobs and faster I guess. But there is also the option for a software to include all the files it creates into 1 directory. Right now Musescore just makes 1 directory in each of these: cache, local, config and documents. I was wondering whether the system of having everything in one place would be better. I mean, would that, perhaps, benefit the developers even a bit? It's not a great suggestion but wondering.
