How do you smoothen a portmanteau glissando? How do you make note play while tied to a glissando?

Hey guys. I'm just wondering if you guys know how to silence a note tied to a portmanteau glissando. The problem is the note played during the pitch-bending process and the notes being played are not wanted.
I tried turning the velocity type of the notes to User but it just muted the note; and so does unchecking the play tick.

I also tried deleting the note but the glissando gets removed with it.
