Spontaneous Crashing MuseScore 4

I have been experiencing spontaneous crashes from MuseScore 4 ever since I downloaded it. Along with this there has been a considerable amount of lag. I find this to be very weird because MuseScore 3 never had this problem. If anyone could give suggestions to help, or if the developers could look into this, it would be greatly appreciated.
