Roman Numeral Analysis text formatting bug report

• Jan 5, 2023 - 14:59

I hope this hasn't been reported yet, I have scrolled the first few pages and did not see anything.

Because I'm using musecore for studies I tend to use Roman Numeral analysis a lot, not only for chords but also as a way to show passing tones, neighbour notes and what not. AFAICT, this seems to affect both use face.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open any score
  2. Go to Preference/Shortcut and search for roman numeral.
  3. Assign a shortcut to the action Add Text/Roman Numeral Analysis.
  4. Select a note and hit the shortcut you've just defined.
  5. Input any text or number. (the normal and expected input here is a number, though.)
  6. With that number selected, go to the Properties tab. In the Style section, click B (for Bold).

Expected : the roman numeral is now bolded. It is not the case.

The workaround I found is to use Size. If you change its size, the numeral will be bolded.
The same thing happens when you want to unbold. And sometimes when trying to change size it would not work either, but I can't reproduce the bug at the moment.
