MS4: Pizz/arco on split staff?

I'm transcribing a piece where the cellos split into 2 staves. One part plays pizz, the other plays arco. I did split staff, but I changed one staff to pizz and the other one changed too. I can't seem to get it to recognize only pizz on the bottom. Is there a fix?
