In a part score, deselecting a voice sometimes removes the last note?

• Apr 29, 2023 - 10:18

OS: Debian GNU/Linux rodete, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 4.0.2-230651545, revision: dbe7c6d

Reproduction steps:
- Open the attached file.
- Open the parts menu, reset the "Alto Saxophone 1" part, and open it. The last bar contains a whole note chord with 2 notes.
- In the Instruments palette, expand the Alto Saxophone instrument and click the gear button to the right of "Treble clef", and deselect voice 1.

Expected: The last bar contains a single whole note (notated as the D above middle C).
What happens: The last bar contains a whole note rest.

  • re-select voice 1.

Expected: the score is as it was before deselecting voice 1.
What happens: The last bar still contains a whole note rest.

I've tried exporting and reimporting musicxml, copying the part to a new score, and it still happens. [it also seems to happen with other instruments]
