Electronic drums and MIDI

Hi, all.

I just got a brand new e-drum and I would like to know. Can I use it as a MIDI controller instead of a keyboard? I mean, what I play appears in the score?

I connected my drums with MuseScore 4 in the I/O but it doesn't work when I try to create a score. Any help?
